We’re looking for a skilled Carpenters to join our crew. This isn’t just about swinging a hammer — it’s about leading a team, solving problems on the fly, and creating spaces that our clients will love for a lifetime. You’ll be hands-on every day, from framing to finishing, while also guiding others and keeping jobs on track.

Your Day-to-Day

-Lead and work alongside a team of carpenters on custom home projects.

-Take on all kinds of carpentry work — framing, trim, cabinetry, and custom details.

-Read and follow architectural drawings to make sure everything lines up.

-Keep the job site safe, organized, and efficient.

-Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and sometimes clients.

-Teach and mentor less experienced carpenters — share your knowledge and skills.

-Make sure the finished product meets the high standards our company is known for.

What We’re Looking For

-5+ years of residential carpentry experience, with at least 2 years leading a crew.

-Experience with custom or high-end homes is a big plus.

-Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods.

-Can read blueprints and technical documents with ease.

-Solid communication and leadership skills.

-A real eye for detail and a love of craftsmanship.

-A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

EXPERIENCED PAINTERS:

We are hiring experienced residential painters, with experience spraying, for high-end, custom homes in the Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie areas. Prior painting experience is REQUIRED. This position is responsible for painting and staining both interior and exteriors of homes. Spraying experience is a huge plus, but rolling and brushing is required.

Duties:

-Preparing surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks

-Applying masking tape and coverings over areas that are not being sprayed

-Applying primer and paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers

-Selecting and mixing the required coating liquids

-Selecting and attaching the correct spray nozzle to create the desired pattern

-Spraying interior and exterior areas, cabinets, etc. using industry techniques

-Cleaning and maintaining painting tools and equipment

-Inspecting and assessing spray coatings after the paint has dried

-Following safety guidelines and using protective gear when necessary

-Ensure all work meets the company's high-quality standards

-Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

Experience:

-Previous experience (2 years) in painting/spraying preferred

-Solid understanding of painting techniques and materials and possesses strong attention to detail

-Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

-Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in painting

-Experience with drywall, stucco and plaster repair

-Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with co-workers and other trades

As a Skilled Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish or other coatings to various surfaces and ensuring a high-quality finish, as well as maintaining a clear and organized work environment. You will need to have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently or as a part of a team. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
